Work experience:

2017 – 2021 – Lead researcher in garment pattern programming and development for a digital technology company.
2003 – 2017 – Head of the Fashion Design Workshop at Riga Technical University Institute of Design Technology.
1998 – 1999 – Founder and Head of the Fashion Design Creative Group at the mass production site of the Canadian – Latvian joint venture “Karolat”.
            1997 – Costume designer for the film “Kurpe”, produced by “Hargla”.
1993 – 2003 – Lecturer in Constructive Technological and Artistic Costume Design at the Art Academy of Latvia.
1964 – 1992 – Costume designer at the Riga Film Studio.
1961 – 1964 – Artist – model-maker, workshop manager at the Dailes Theatre.
1954 – 1955 – Model-maker – designer at the sewing art studio “Sadarbība”.

Creative activity:

2021 – 2022 – DLT “WOMEN’S AND MEN’S CLOTHING individuel & indudtrial PATTERNS COSTRUCTION” output.
2017 – 2021 – – DLT “LET’S CONSTRUCT! With a sense of body and fashion style” output.
            2003 – Collection “Heritage” on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Fashion Design Department of the Art Academy of Latvia.
            1996 – Participation in the competition “Fashion. Art. Music”.
1965 – 1994 – Costume designer at the Riga Film Studio and participation in stage and film design, exhibitions of artists’ creative works.

Teaching activity

Since 2010 – Owner, manager, lecturer of artistic and technical design at “Skaidra Deksne Fashion Design Workshop”, provides 26 credits of internship in fashion design for Riga Technical University students.
2005 – 2009 – Practical assistant professor at Riga Technical University Institute of Textile Technology and Design.
            2004 – Lecturer at Riga Technical University Institute of Textile Technology and Design.
1994 – 2003 – Lecturer, teaching methodologist at the Fashion Design Department of the Art Academy of Latvia Development and improvement of the study programme of the Art Academy of Latvia Fashion Design Department (together with R.Eglīte).
1955 – 1957 – Lecturer at the Department of Modelling and Artistic Costume Design, Riga School of Applied Arts.
